PCP’s 1st chapter is 1st place in the rankings.

The voice actress for the heroine of +NATURAL needs Iwase’s opinion as there’s only 4 applicants. One of them is Azuki.

Kaya’s against Azuki becoming the heroine of their rival’s manga, and Mashiro’s obviously not fine with it. So Kaya and Takagi visit Azuki’s house and asks her not to audition.

PCP’s 2nd chapter came in 2nd above CROW and +NATURAL.

Mashiro’s art’s been dipping in quality as he’s thinking about Azuki’s audition. Elsewhere Eiji tells Miura to give up on Azuki as he knows Mashiro won’t be happy if she takes the role.

Azuki turns up on audition day to turn it down. Iwase still wants her, but Mashiro turns up unexpectedly and pulls Azuki away. Whilst leaving Eiji promises to reject Azuki’s application.

After a pleasant trip home with Azuki, Mashiro’s perfectly fine again.

PCP’s third chapter is 5th, after +NATURAL in 4th. This would be fine if they weren’t in a battle to fight cancellation by competing with CROW and +NATURAL.

Thoughts:

Straight into the story huh, thought they’d do a short anime only episode as a reminder of who’s who and where the story’s at. I mean sure it’s only been one season since the last season, but there’s a lot of anime in between. For people who watch a lot, like me, forgetting what’s happened is common, it’s hard to remember everything. But I’m not complaining just suggesting that a short reminder would’ve been nice, however I do complain when things are slow, so getting on with the story is perfectly fine. They can always slide in a flashback now and then.

Well anyway, was a nice ‘heroic’ gesture by Mashiro, +NATURAL is probably the type of anime that’ll go on for a while so who knows when Azuki will be free. Knowing Iwase she’ll keep it going for as long as possible just to keep Azuki tied up. However if the anime was only going to be 12 or 24 ish episodes long then I don’t see why Azuki can’t further her career with this opportunity. I mean Iwase was going to get her to do the heroine’s voice one way or another, so could’ve used that to her advantage. Makes it easier to get PCP’s role with a popular anime in her portfolio already. Because I assume PCP won’t get an anime in less than 24 weeks time. Though I guess that’ll also depend on when +NATURAL starts… Then there’re the feelings of Mashiro and Azuki involved … yeah okay too many complications, best to leave it then.

Falling behind +NATURAL on the third chapter isn’t the best of results. But as everyone knows, it’s still pretty good for a third chapter. The thing only just got going, popularity is around a good place for a mid arc chapter. End an arc well and it’ll jump. If it’s around this ranking all, if not, most of the time, then I think it’ll have done enough to compete with +NATURAL at the very least. Difficulty will be keeping it around there.

Note: So you must’ve noticed I didn’t blog Shin Sekai Yori, well, first episode didn’t entice me to watch. I’ll admit I haven’t watched the second episode yet, but I’m not even sure if I want to watch it. Sure some animes have slow starts, however when you’re watching a lot, there’s no time to be bored at the start. First impressions are important and for me Shin Sekai Yori bored me. So back to the old plan I’m blogging Bakuman. I actually find it alright to blog now because I’ve pretty much forgotten the manga. Meaning I can give a less biased opinion. So I may as well stick with Bakuman.
