A little later than advertised, but since I like these themes so much, I was determined to actually complete a proper blog for once.

I like these new themes. After the catastrophe that was the first opening and ending, the second ones really brought me into this series. And these new ones actually make me want to continue. That and the layers of mystery in the plot.

Oh, and fricking Jack Atlas and Crow Hogan. Alternate universe counterparts, but goddamn it, nostalgia forces me to love ARC-V now.

Anyway, the lyrics relate to the series a lot with these two songs. 5D’s’ series word ‘Kizuna’ is sung in HANATE (coincidentally just as Crow appears on our screens), and Synchro Summoning is referenced in ARC of Smile!, which was all the rage in 5D’s. Plus, the ending animation sort of reminds me of animation akin to BLEACH ending 23. Which is actually kind of cool.

N.B. 世界中 (Sekaijuu, meaning ‘around the world’) is written in ARC of Smile!, but it is sung and pronounced as FIIRUDO (Field), which I can only assume gives a meaning of ‘the whole world is our dueling field’, or something similar.
