For an anime that I originally listed as one of my top 5 on the ‘About Authors’ page, I certainly haven’t done enough SOTWs for it to do that ranking justice. That said, if I was to give my anime ranking a more detailed look today things might shift around a bit, though I would say Shugo Chara should still retain a top 10 position easily. Therefore I thought it was a good to take a trip down memory lane and go back more than a decade to look at an anime that inspired me to be myself during the early days of my anime watching. Here is Hontou no Jibun by Buono.

If you think this week’s SOTW is late being posted, good thing I’m not doing next week’s on a week I’m working 6/7 days.

Anyways, I’ve been listening to my anime radio app recently, and a certain channel just has a penchant for playing Ranma ½ themes, so here’s one of my favourites.

Opening Edit:

Happy to follow on from Raven’s SOTW message and restart SOTW’s schedule, I’m sorta back to ‘normal’, or as normal as I can be with one ear, but still a few things to sort out as you might expect.

So every time I’m a little down or when anything bad happens I always seem to turn to anime for inspiration and I guess my current situation is no different. One such anime that’s produced a lot of great pick me up music is Re:Creators, undoubtedly one of my favourite soundtracks, second to, or maybe even on par with Guilty Crown I’d say, being from the same composer helps.

I’ve blogged a few of their OST songs before and they’re all as good as the next, so here’s a new one, Brave the Ocean by Sawano Hiroyuki ft Eliana and I hope that you don’t find yourself in my situation, but if you do, songs like this can pick you back up.

I’m pretty sure we’ve missed a SOTW or two recently, but I suppose that’s what happens when both the remaining bloggers fall ill at the same time.

So let’s just restart it for this week.

This SOTW is the 4th ending to Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, and its a great ending theme. It gets me hyped for the next episode of a pretty good and consistent arc every time, which is a plus.

Anyway, here’s the video.

Ending Edit:

Very late, apologies, I’m still in and out of hospital and getting used to the one sided hearing. It’s actually not as bad as I thought, but still need to make sure it’s nothing even more serious so not had much time given my work and various other projects still ongoing. Either way, finally found some time so here is my SOTW.

Annoying because of the ear thing I’ve also not watched much anime and that’s generally where my inspiration for SOTW comes from. So I’ve decided to go for one of the most iconic songs of the decade and you may not have seen the anime, like me, but I’m sure you’ll have heard the opening words of this song. Here is Unravel by TK.
