This week’s post is the new(ish) OP to Black Clover. Black Clover’s been knocking it out of the park for OP/ED themes recently, and this may be the best one yet.

On top of that, I have previous love for Seiko Oomori songs (particularly the 2nd ED to Shokugeki no Soma), so that’s probably why this theme rates so highly for me.

But – good God, is this OP spoilerific or what?

…Still, I’ll just leave the video here then:

Another week of non-stop shifts, another late post.

This week’s SOTW is the first Black Clover OP, which I’ve just realised I never did anything on when it was airing. How strange. So this is me now posting something on it.

You know what? Looking back on this opening, and having bought the English-released tankoubon and starting to read through the manga again, there’s been a lot of awesome character development in this series. I wouldn’t hesitate to say that with the very good magic system in place, and the interactions between all of the characters, Black Clover may be one of the best series as far as character development goes. Specifically, it’s far better in this category than some of its predecessors.

Anyway, to stop me from rambling, here’s the song:

Having worked six days straight, this post is obviously late this week.

Anyway, without me working those days in a row and having to hold this back, I wouldn’t have been able to make this post about this song, which popped up this week as Black Clover’s new and 5th Opening. I like it (the bassline gets me intrigued from the off), and I also really like the arc we’re coming too, so all-in-all it seems like a great OP theme.

This is a very late post, you’re right. Unfortunately, with my current rota at work, this is the earliest I could get this done.

So here’s Black Clover’s 3rd opening, which I really like. Enjoy.

A week or two ago, whilst I was searching through series on Crunchyroll, I came across Black Clover, a series I recognised from one or two chapters of the manga. So I thought: “Hey me, you’ve got an hour and a half free. Why don’t you read the first 100 or so chapters of manga, then watch the first episode and get stuck into this series?”

So I did. I now love Black Clover.

‘PAiNT it BLACK’ is the 2nd opening to the series, and is the current opening at the time of this post. It’s a great theme, and whilst it’s pretty even with the 1st opening musically (for me anyway), the animation puts it higher, in my opinion. It gives more animation time to characters other than Asta, Yuno and Noelle, and really starts to show off some of the great characters that appear in this series.

Anyway, on to the video:
