Well, this is a very late post. So, this week’s SOTW will be another Yu-Gi-Oh! theme, as most days a random assortment of them plays on a constant loop in my head.

This one is DM’s 2nd ending, and is a pretty good song, if slightly mediocre animation.

Still, enjoy.

This is a late post again, hindered by the fact I was working 9 of the last 10 days, but no matter. It’s here now.

I originally wanted to do another song, that I may instead blog next time, but I’ve been on an “old themes” binge recently, and I always liked this ED to ‘Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters’. Not much happens, animation-wise (except a fun little stumble by Yuugi), but the song’s cool. Always enjoyed listening to it after an episode.

As you may have noticed by now, I stopped blogging ARC-V themes, as I just didn’t have the time unfortunately.

But of the last themes I’ve listened to (as I’ve even stalled on ARC-V episodes now), which were the 5th themes, I much prefer the ending. Granted, the ending animation isn’t anything to get excited over, but the song itself is solid, and made me a casual fan of Kuso Iinkai. Plus, it has a movie version of the animation that’s marginally better.

So, suffice to say, I’m blogging it as a SOTW instead.

Have to say, this is yet another one of those “woke me up” SOTW’s, although it has been in my mind recently.

OVERLAP by Kimeru

There’s really no other reason for me putting this up other than it’s the welcoming song to Dueling Network. They used to have WARRIORS by Yuichi Ikusawa too, but now OVERLAP always plays. And why wouldn’t it? It’s the best theme to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters series, out of all the openings and endings, plus it was specifically written by Kimeru after watching Yu-Gi-Oh! through and getting the gist of what it was on about. Pretty perfect song then.
