Usui helps a woman carry her apples home to find out that it’s Misaki’s mum. She invites him into their house and he even helps fix the floorboards.

Misaki’s quite surprised to see Usui when she comes home and drags him out. Though she does thank him for helping her mum out.

Shizuko and Sakura misunderstood the situation when they saw Misaki and Usui come out of her house. When Misaki explained it to them they suddenly wonder what Usui’s house is like and what type of background he’s from.

Sakura and Shizuko decide to tail Usui and they call Misaki to say that he just entered Maid Latte! Apparently Misaki hasn’t told them about her part-time job and didn’t want to explain it all. Luckily the manager sees her sweating and gives her the day off. She meets up with Sakura and Shizuko to, although unwillingly, tail him together.

He enters a high class sports club and does a bit of swimming. Then he’s off to a high class boutique, changes into a very expensive suit and walks out. Next up a high class restaurant. Sakura speculates that Usui could be waiting for his girlfriend and when a girl arrives and Usui seemingly greets her, Misaki suddenly became sad. Though Usui was actually waving for a waiter. Misaki gives up tailing him and walks out of the restaurant. But as Usui barges out in a kimono and runs off in a very odd manner, they, finding it odd, continue to tail him.

They found nothing much apart from that Usui is well versed in a variety of activities. It gets late and everyone decides to head home. However Usui stops to pick up an abandoned kitten so Misaki decides to talk to him for a bit. Usui already knew that Misaki was tailing him and then gives her his address, though she just throws it away without second thought. Usui invites Misaki to his house but she refuses.

Later that night, Misaki looks at the note she apparently threw away and finds Usui’s address.

The end scene was Usui looking out of his apartment staring at the dark skies.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I was rather disappointed by this episode. Nothing really was given away about Usui at all, except that he can afford to go to expensive places and do a number of activities a day. I indeed expected him to be rather rich so that didn’t surprise me, or either that or he was leading them on and wasn’t actually rich, but I don’t really care that much, as I wanted some of his background story and got nothing.

Well, that said there were interesting bits in the episode. Such as another showing of Usui’s kindness in helping Misaki’s mum and fixing their floorboards. I did kinda feel sorry for the idiot trio though. They saved so much money to challenge Misaki only to find that she wasn’t there, I’m actually quite gutted for them. I think they deserve more than such misfortune. There was also that part, where Misaki thought Usui had a girlfriend and was looking quite saddened by it, obviously Misaki’s feelings deep down are quite clear, it’s just that she can’t show it at all. Especially when she just threw away Usui’s address without any thought, quite cold of her, but I’m glad she picked it up later. Usui’s going to a great deal of trouble for Misaki, she better realise it sooner rather than later, so that his kindness isn’t wasted.

On a lasting note I was quite amazed at Shizuko’s ability to deal with all this high class business. I wouldn’t be surprised if Shizuko was actually part of some really rich family. She could easily be I reckon. Anyway, we’ve still got plenty of time, I think this series runs for 24 episodes, like a certain other anime of its kind, Special A for example, so, we’ve still got plenty of time for the relationship to build and to find out Usui’s background story.
