Takagi and Mashiro arrive at his uncle’s workplace which happens to be filled with loads of hero figurines and manga volumes large enough to be a library. Mashiro then shows Takagi a ‘name’; a draft of a manga with panels and speech with rough sketches drawn in.

Getting all fired up Takagi starts studying the names that Mashiro’s uncle left and gets to work. Mashiro goes to the balcony and calls his dad, who gives him some good inspiration.

He then finds the letters his uncle was receiving from that girl who gave him encouragement. Although at first they felt guilty and didn’t look, the temptation gets too much and after swearing not to tell anyone what is written they then read them. Most of the letters were basically everyday boring stuff, until the last letter, which was one year onwards from the second to last and she’s getting married.

They then find the graduation photo album under all the letters, because he couldn’t ask for a photo. When they find the girl, they get a surprise as it’s Azuki’s mum.

Next day, they visit Azuki’s house again after she leaves they knock and ask her mum about Mashiro’s uncle. She invites them in for coffee. It seems that she did like him, but was too embarrassed to say anything in the letters. But Mashiro’s uncle got his feelings across in his manga in the end.

Mashiro then asks that everything about his uncle and Azuki’s mum is to stay secret from Azuki.  She agrees and wishes them all the best as they leave.

The two talk in a park and after getting all fired up again they both rush off.

Still rather slow but it was still nice and relaxing, not in a boring way. It was nice to get some more background story into Mashiro’s uncle and how everything connects so well. Was quite a pleasant surprise to find that Mashiro’s uncle liked Azuki’s mum, seems almost like fate, nice planning from the mangakas.

I would love to have a room like Mashiro’s uncle’s one. Those manga and figurine collections sure are huge. That’s a lot of work expenses for those figurines, I mean each must cost a few thousand yen and so many of them, I doubt they’d allow that in real life. What about all those manga, that was a huge library he had. I doubt he can pay for that much with what he gets from his manga. So working expenses again? That’s a ridiculous amount of money to claim for work expenses… haha there I go looking at the small things again…

Anyway, it was nice to get a little information into how the manga submissions work seeing as you’d probably never know that much unless you were in Japan, then again you wouldn’t need to know anywhere else unless you wanted to submit all the way to Japan or something. I wonder why they called the ‘name’ a ‘name’ seems like a peculiar name, what’s wrong with draft script or something? Just wondered lol.

I thought it was rather depressing when those two looked through his letters. He kept them so safe as well, he must’ve really liked her. I thought it was very sweet and it must’ve been very painful for him with that last letter. I wonder why she didn’t say something about a boyfriend sooner though. I mean, if she couldn’t say she liked him at least she should tell him she had a boyfriend, that might’ve prompted him to tell her his feelings earlier, maybe.

Speaking of Azuki’s mum, I wouldn’t mind looking like that when I’m forty-two hehe… though I’d probably have straight hair rather than curly… something to think about… hehe…

Seems like they’ll finally start drawing next episode then. Let’s see how things process from here then.

And again I apologise for the lateness, for those who don’t know, I’ve been having trouble with my internet for the last five days. I should be okay now though, a guy came over to fix it, so all will be well, I hope.
