Ichigo is surprised to see hollow Ichigo back. But hollow Ichigo reminded him that he did say before that Ichigo better not die until the next time he meets. This is what nearly happened during the Ulquiorra fight so hollow Ichigo took over. And now, this new hollowfication form is what Ichigo fears and that’s been bothering him.

Ichigo expects his opponent to be hollow Ichigo’s new form, but no, it’s hollow Ichigo and Tensa Zangetsu merged into one. The fight begins.

Back in Karakura town, Tatsuki’s backed into a corner by Aizen and unable to move. But a bomb of sorts explodes on Aizen and stops him. Don Kanonji has arrived!

Tatsuki tells Don Kanonji to run as there’s nothing he can do, but he refuses. He charges only to realise that if he even so much as touch Aizen his existence will be erased. Luckily, Matsumoto arrives in time to stop Kanonji’s attack.

In Ichigo’s inner world again and he’s getting beaten up pretty bad. But at one point he seems to find his resolve and fights back.

Karakura again, Kanonji is surprised by the appearance of Rangiku and says that a civilian shouldn’t be here. But Rangiku manages to forcefully get Kanonji to run away with the girls.

Gin then asks to take Rangiku away for a chat but Aizen said it’s fine to chat here. Gin steps forward without another word, grabs her and disappears.

Inner world, and although Ichigo’s found some fighting spirit, he still doesn’t have enough power to beat Tensa Zangetsu with hollow Ichigo and is injured by an attack. He refuses to give up but is then blown away by another attack.

Karakur. Gin releases Rangiku on the roof of a deserted building and they talk. Gin asks why she came even in such a bad state. She says it’s because he’s here. She asks why he betrayed them but he doesn’t answer and walks up to Rangiku, sword poised and attacks.

Ichigo thinks of his friends that could be killed by Aizen at any second and breaks free from the twister that’s trying to kick him out of his inner world. He fights back with more ferocity and seems to overpower tensa and hollow this time.

Gin leaves an unconscious Rangiku. Whilst Keigo finds the afro soul reaper collapsed and borrows his sword.

In Ichigo’s inner world for the final time. The fight is about to reach its climax as both parties are unwilling to back down. Outside of Ichigo’s body, Isshin is struggling now. It seems a lot of time has passed and there’s blood dribbling down Ichigo’s chin. Yet he still isn’t done. He needs to hurry!

Ah Kanonji, what a brilliant character. The glasses the last episode in the storyline was a dead giveaway, I’m sure most of you guessed who it was by then. I have to admit, he surely knows how to make an entrance, although he did make a joke of himself. In front of Aizen that’s probably not the best idea. He did buy enough time for Rangiku to get there to saving Tatsuki, for now at least. Ah, the typical appearance of a ‘hero’, love it, even if it’s overused.

Speaking of overused scenes another one was when Tensa and hollow turned away from Ichigo but then Ichigo got back up so they had to turn around. Who knows how many times that’s been done.

So we saw Gin point his sword at Rangiku, something tells me he didn’t do anything to her though, maybe knock her out but not using any blade. When we saw Rangiku lying unconscious there’s no blood, so I assume she’s just knocked out. Gin even lost his smile when he was facing Rangiku and we know their history together. You know something’s up, especially with that rebellious attitude he showed Aizen. Something’s gonna happen.

I think I’m reading too much into some things but Tensa said that Ichigo won’t land one hit on him. I just thought well, if you’re gonna win of course he’s not, cos one hit’s all he’s gonna need. And another thing, how could Tensa kick Ichigo out of his own inner world? Doesn’t seem to make sense, unless Tensa is the owner of the inner world, then fair enough.

Well, Isshin looks like he’s nearly at his limit, which means a long time has passed, so this means that Ichigo should be on the verge of getting the final getsuga tensho. Let’s see this ultimate move that can end Aizen soon then. Though I bet the anime will drag this out as much they can. I bet Ichigo’ll make a hero’s appearance as Aizen’s about to kill Tatsuki and gang. That’s most likely how it’s going to play out.
