Aizen feels Ichigo’s power and backs away immediately. He enters a fit of rage and a third eye opens on his forehead. His head slumps over and his back bursts open. He is then encased in a glass like cuboid which cracks open spraying gallons of blood. Aizen emerges, further into his evolution.

He fires a ball of energy at Ichigo and it explodes with such an impact that it could be felt all the way back at Karakura.

Ichigo appears out of it with a badly burnt left arm. Aizen quickly attacks and holds Ichigo by his neck pushing him back. He declares that it’s his victory. Ichigo isn’t finished and easily breaks of his grip.

Ichigo states that he’s gotten bored of Aizen and will now finish this. He readies himself and declares the final getsuga tenshou. A huge spiritual pressure envelops him and he changes appearance.

Flashback, to when he was facing Tensa and hollow. They break Ichigo’s sword obviously more powerful than Ichigo. Ichigo refuses to go down though, not until they tell him what the final getsuga tenshou is.

Tensa still refuses and beats Ichigo more. But he feels there’s something wrong. He knows that if Tensa and hollow wanted to beat him, they could’ve easily done. Also, if Tensa didn’t want to say anything, he could’ve hid.

He notices the sadness in Tensa’s eyes and lets go of his sword letting Tensa stab him. This, is the way to obtain the final getsuga tenshou, to accept his blade. There is no pain. After all, tensa zangetsu is another part of himself. Tensa states that it is Ichigo he wants to protect. He leaves Ichigo saying that everything will be transferred to him through the sword.

Back to present day, Ichigo appears out of the spiritual pressure with half his body wrapped in bandages. He explains that the final getsuga tenshou is becoming getsuga. And if he uses it, he’ll lose all his soul reaper powers!

Aizen still can’t sense Ichigo’s power and fears that Ichigo is at a far superior power level to him which is why.

Ichigo attacks. There was only silence. His attack hits. In an instant. It was over.

After his attack he hears something and saw that Aizen still lives. He has reverted to an earlier form but his wounds still healed fast. Ichigo feels his soul reaper powers fade away and couldn’t do anything.

Aizen points his fading sword at Ichigo and states he wins as this must mean the hougyoku decided he doesn’t need a sword and have become one with it. But then, some pink blasts of energy appear over his body and Urahara appears. It seems that he planted a kido in Aizen when he was still vulnerable as he knew it’d be impossible to kill him if he’s infused with the hougyoku. It’s a sealing kido. It’s only taking effect now because he’s weakened thanks to Ichigo.

Aizen starts turning back to normal as the hougyoku doesn’t recognise him as its master anymore. Aizen screams until he’s finally sealed away.

So… that’s it, Aizen’s sealed, it’s all over.

Like hell it is, Aizen’s not dead, so it’s not gonna end. He’ll find some way out of the seal and become even more powerful. By that time Ichigo’s soul reaper powers will have returned and he’ll be more powerful still. That’s my prediction of the storyline basing on shounen clichés. I wouldn’t mind to be honest, I wouldn’t want bleach to end here. It’s been going on a while, but something just doesn’t feel right ending it now.

On the topic of Ichigo losing his soul reaper powers, I kinda saw it coming. It’s only fair that he’s to lose something big to be able to obtain the power to beat someone like Aizen. I had a thought it might be his life, but guess a shounen wouldn’t allow that. If Kubo wanted, he could easily end it here and everything would be fine, but as I stated above he isn’t. But for the next time Aizen rises, he’ll have to think of another huge event for Ichigo to be able to beat him. And it can’t be self sacrifice this time.

Due to the lack of blood censorship I wasn’t surprised at the start with the amount of blood shown. Makes me think the anime’s becoming more mature, which to me is a good thing. Don’t need the censorship, unless it’s over the top, and bleach isn’t bad most/all of the time. We hate 4kids for a reason, they go overboard, though I guess they’re not called 4‘kids’ for no reason. Less censorship is always good, especially if it’s not a big deal.

With all the fighting I was just thinking how long it’d take to rebuild Karakura. Unless they’ve got some special thing that makes everything go back to the way it was before the town entered soul society. Otherwise people will start asking questions… heh, the government can always come up with some sort of cover story.

When Aizen had a hold of Ichigo I wondered why those little things didn’t just blast Ichigo with those nuke balls of energy instead of making random circles around him. It’s like Aizen wanted Ichigo to have a chance of fighting back. I mean if one of those huge attacks could burn Ichigo’s arm, quite a lot of them at point blacnk range could defeat him. Though maybe it’s because Aizen didn’t want to get caught in the blast? Nah… I doubt his arrogant mind will ever think his own attack can harm himself. Who knows.

Urahara planned everything this far whilst Aizen didn’t see it coming. He’s starting to remind me of Zhuge Liang, the fictional one of course, the actual Zhuge Liang in historical records was much more of a politician than strategist.

Speaking of power, I do wonder why hollow Ichigo is so annoying. If he had let Ichigo control his hollow power’s second form, there might not be need for the final getsuga because he must know that if Ichigo loses his soul reaper powers, he’s gone too. Or is he though? Does Ichigo still have hollow powers? There’s something to think about.

With this arc drawing to a close and Aizen sealed something tells me we’re going to go into fillers now. Plus the new arc in the manga hasn’t gone very far so, I hate to say it, but it makes sense to do a filler arc. Well, next episode will wrap this arc up, so I guess a more relaxing and comedy filled episode is likely.
