Episode 18: Serial Number

Look, you broke the swimming pool rules!!!

Laura is in the bathroom soaking her feet when Stiyl burst into the room. Shocked she gets up but slips and falls into the bath. Stiyl demands an explanation about the document he is holding, but Laura complains about him barging into the female bathroom. Stiyl attacks her in anger forcing Laura to dive out of the bath. Stiyl continues asking Laura for an explanation to the document, but he gets nothing as Laura whines about Stiyl gazing upon her in wet clothes which have revealed her figure. This just angers him more.

They must of had some filthy habits

Meanwhile Kaori is complaining about the new washing machine that the Archbishop has sent them, Orsola, Agnese, Angelene and Lucia are with her trying figure out how to work it, while Sherry sits on the couch, carving a piece of wood. Orsola and the other nuns provide more washing by stripping off their habits; Orsola then removes Kaori’s yukata sash to almost reveal that Kaori doesn’t wear any underwear. They get the machine working, but Sherry points out that colours need to be separated from other clothes and asks about Kaori’s dyed sash. Kaori quickly tries to stop the machine by pressing the button but it doesn’t open and in frustration hits the machine. The machine bursts open and showers Kaori in water. Kaori is kneeling collapsed on the floor drenched in water and Angelene points out that she doesn’t wear any panties provoking Kaori to burst out crying.

Touma is in the direct line of fire

Touma is walking around the shopping centre, while he hears Mikoto getting excited over Gekota in the phone shop. Touma sits down on the bench and Misaka 10032 comes up to him. She asks him if he has seen a Misaka shorter than her (Last Order), but his clueless response makes Misaka realise he doesn’t know. She tells him that her goggles were stolen and asks for his help. Fearing that he may make another mistaken identity, he asks her to take her blazer off, but she almost removes her skirt, only stopped by Touma. Touma then suggests some sort of accessory; possibly a ring. This suggestion reminds Misaka bout the conversation about having a ring on the left-hand given to by a man is a winner. This makes her blush.

Thieves will pay

Meanwhile Last Order has left a message on the phone, telling Accelerator that she is playing with another Misaka. Accelerator is angry, but Aiho aims to help him as she had recorded the message onto a flash drive and will analyse the sounds in the background to find where Last Order is. Touma has bought Misaka 10032 a necklace to distinguish her. Touma then gets some Animal doughnuts and starts eating them which shocks Misaka 10032. Just then, Mikoto comes over and asks what she is doing. Misaka explains about her goggles but is then distracted by Mikoto’s Gekota souvenirs on her bag. Mikoto then spots the animal doughnuts and wants to see, but is blocked by Misaka 10032. Mikoto then attacks Touma for messing around. Mikoto explains about the bet between her and Touma, with Misaka pointing out that she cannot act normal around him. Misaka 10032 changes her personality and grabs Touma. Suddenly, Last Order grabs Touma on the other side. Misaka explains to Touma that this is Misaka 20001. Last Order then tells Misaka 10032 that she is tired of that game and is playing something else and runs off. Misaka removes her gun from her bag and chases after Last Order, leaving Touma and Mikoto confused.

A Touma substitute target

Accelerator is contacted by Aiho on Last Order’s position being in the shopping centre. Aiho then questions Accelerator’s goodwill towards others; thinking about his past and the experiment. (I don’t get this fully, it was so cryptic and in depth and after repeating the scene, I got fed up. In short I think Aiho is trying to encourage Accelerator to use his powers for good, but he cannot face the challenge). Hyouka has reappeared in the city; but is transparent and shimmers randomly. She transforms into the winter uniform and is stopped by Anti-skill claiming her to be a holographic prank by someone (Heartless imbeciles!!!). Meanwhile Touma is confused about earlier on, while Mikoto vents her anger in the arcades. Touma’s brain does not function and gives up trying to think. Last Order appears behind Touma.

Some unique sea creature

Accelerator arrives at the Shopping Centre but finds and hungry Index looking for Touma. After filling her stomach in a fast food restaurant Accelerator shows her a picture of Last Order, asking if she had seen her. She tells him no, but will be able to search for Touma on a full stomach. Touma talks to Last Order while Index helps Accelerator search for Last Order. Touma helps Last Order fit the goggles by adjusting the headband length, almost knocking her out. It is getting late and Last Order tells Touma that she will go home, as she doesn’t want Accelerator to worry about her. Touma and Accelerator swap companions; Index is with Touma and Last Order is with Accelerator however, neither Touma nor Accelerator see each other.

I felt this was an ok episode, but Touma’s actions are starting to become annoying; he still can’t figure out Mikoto, when the evidence is there. I tried to shorten this blog so it is not too long I may have left a few things out but not too much. Well at least I found out what happened to Angelene and Lucia, with that being the comical scene along with the Laura and Stiyl scene (I couldn’t work out my washing machine until it was discovered to be broken at the time, but that was years ago… don’t worry I am full-house trained now). Hyouka is back and I wonder what made her re-appear this time, I hope Touma and Index help her out again and not those two dimwit anti-skill officers. At least this time we had a Kuroko break in this episode, someone must have read my last blog and tied her up (heh heh!!!), but she probably will escape as she is a teleport user, so she’ll probably turn up in a upcoming episode.
