It seems like Mashiro and Azuki are getting used to sitting next to each other after a while. He even finds time in the middle of class to ‘contact’ her and gets rather joyous by it.

Back to the manga, Mashiro and Takagi decide to do a sci-fi action one next. And they’re hoping that ‘The Two Earths’ make it into the finals of the monthly award.

At Shounen Jack’s editorial department we hear just how good this Niizuma Eiji is as the Chief himself goes to visit him.

After seeing a couple’s quarrel on the roof, Mashiro wonders how things will continue when he and Azuki graduate and are separated. Worried, he asks Azuki, in class, in writing, why they have to wait until their dreams come true, but then Azuki starts to cry. He then realises he just trampled on her feelings. Later, she writes down her email for him.

After lying on his bed, staring at Azuki’s email address and thinking back to her crying, he gets up and runs all the way to her house. But oddly enough  he doesn’t do anything and walks away.

The next day Mashiro revokes what he said the day before, in writing as always, and this time Azuki cries a little with tears of joy.

With renewed determination for his dream, Mashiro aims for the Tezuka award at the end of the month with only 25 days to go. At first Takagi’s against the idea, but after a call from Hattori saying that they didn’t get into the finals for the monthly award, Takagi agrees to go for it after all.

The editor in chief and Yuujirou visit Eiji in the last scene. His parents agree for him to move to Tokyo to draw manga. But he has one condition, that if he becomes the most popular mangaka he wants the power to cancel a manga he hates.
