Half the summer’s gone. Azusa is taking care of Ton-chan as Mugi heads to Finland and the rest of the gang is stuck in the library studying.

Wanting to have some fun, Azusa has a random dream about Yui eating Tempura and then watermelon… I don’t get why that’s bad… Anyway Ui visits Azusa and they go to the school to try and find Jun to bring her snacks. They couldn’t find her and doesn’t know what she’s doing, so they eat the snacks in the music room.

They then decide to see a movie, a horror movie. Azusa thinks she saw Mio come in, but that can’t be right as it’s a horror film. She then hears Mio’s ringtone and wakes up in the music room to Ui’s phone vibrating. It was from Jun, she’s in the countryside visiting her grandparents for Obon.

So the two of them go to town to look around. Ui’s broke, so they find a job as a lottery assistant to earn a little money. After a while only two prizes remain, some tissues and a trip to Finland. For some random reason Mugi comes to play as she came back a day early because she always wanted to win some tissue in a lottery, and surprisingly she does. Only the Finland trip now and Azusa tries it. What a surprise she gets the grand prize, but this is obviously too good to be true. That’s right, another Azusa dream. She wakes up to the end of the movie she was seeing having missed the entire thing.

Next up in summer, when Jun returned, Ui, Jun and Azusa decide to go to an outdoor swimming pool. Due to Azusa’s sunburn she decides not to play in the water and instead gets a tan. But then she falls asleep yet again and dreams of everyone sliding down the water slide with Yakisoba.

After they leave the pool they meet Yui and the gang who are off to the summer festival so everyone goes together. And this time, she isn’t dreaming.

The episode finishes off on a comical tone as Yui returns home and eats Tempura after snow cones. But then finds out that was a bad idea from a postcard from Azusa.

Although the series still seem slow at least a lot more happened in this episode, or rather should I say a lot happened in Azusa’s dreams? This episode was more enjoyable at least, the comedy stepped up even if the storyline didn’t.

However the episode did confuse me a lot. One second we were in Azusa’s dream the next we’re not, so half the time I was expecting to be in her dream we’re actually not and vice versa, though surprisingly that made it all the more fun to watch and just made me laugh most of the time. Though I’ll admit the horror movie dream was really freaky, it even had me scared… slightly… especially Mio’s eyes… but apart from that the other dreams were just hilariously random.

For some reason I found that Azusa’s sunburnt self isn’t that nice to look at… maybe it’s cos I’m used to looking at her not sunburnt. Well either way, it was funny how everyone said ‘who are you?’ I never got tired of that joke.

Anyway in terms of storyline progression, I’m not sure if there was any. I don’t read the manga so I can’t say for sure, but I think Jun agreeing to join the light music group may be storyline. Either way it was fun to see her tempted into the group by promises of trips and stuff.

This episode seemed to be focused on Azusa’s loneliness if they don’t get more members. So it’s making me wonder, will they get more members then? It would be quite sad to see Azusa all alone next year, even if Jun does join two people is hardly a band, but could work I suppose.
