The battle for Seireiden continues whilst Keisaku and Margery share a nice time together.

—————————————————————————————————-

Tanaka arrives at the train station to welcome Keisaku back.

Guarding a now snowed up Seireiden is a huge army of denizens. Shana flies out of Seireiden and announces to everyone what the Divine Gate and that she will stop Yuji.

Below her, the Flame Haze army and Bal Masque’s army clash.

Keisaku arrives back at his house and Tanaka and Yoshida leaves him be. Not sure what everyone expects him to do, he sits down for a rest first, but is then pushed on by Marco. So without much of a choice he enters the room with the sleepy Margery.

He talks to her, telling her that he lives for her sake and after that he gives her a kiss. Just like in the fairy tales, she wakes up. As their feelings for each other finally come out the scene fades out leaving them to do what they must.

Shana, Khamsian, Rebecca and Wilhelmina head into the Divine Gate. As soon as they enter they are greeted by ‘birds’ who are actually souls of the past Flame Haze who banished Snake. The bird leads the way.

Back outside, the Flame Haze army has the advantage as the enemy is still confused. But it seems Seireiden have reinforcements approaching. However until then, they have the advantage. Sophie orders half their reserve troops to attack those around the Divine Gate and the other half with Samuel as the leader, to attack Seireiden. With the Trinity and Snake absent, they want to do as much damage as possible.

Knowing they lack the troops to defend Seireiden and won’t hold out until reinforcements arrive, Decarabia has no choice but to take to the battlefield himself. With a huge rumble, the giant sea serpent rises out of the ice sheets and attacks without warning turning the tide of battle. He casts defensive spells upon his allies and himself so attacks won’t work.

On another side of the castle, Samuel constructs a bridge leading straight to Seireiden and leads his forces to attack. Decarabia sees this and prepares to launch one attack to strike them down, but Sophie drops out of nowhere and lightning kicks his face into disintegration.

But it was too late as the reinforcements arrive. A two faced gas mask wearing denizen, Haborym has returned.

Back in Misaki city after a night of joy, Margery and Keisaku gets ready to head off.

Shana and gang approach a castle like structure in the Divine Gate. There, Sabrac awaits.

Thoughts:

So… when did Seireiden’s surrounding’s turn into the arctic? I thought it was a desert, how did that just vanish? I’m sure at the end of last episode it was definitely a desert… did something happen in between that they didn’t show, or did I miss something…?

Forgetting about the snow, the fighting got better. I thought Seireiden would be completely empty and it’d be an easy takeover, but it seems they do have troops, an army to be exact. So that’s alright, still gonna be some strategic warfare involved and not as boring as I thought. I had thought it was all over when Sophie super mega ultra lightning kicked Decarabia’s face into the next life, but that was enough time for their reinforcements arrive to fight back so we can witness a more even war.

I think everyone agrees, Sophie was awesome, she dropped kicked Decarabia like a nuke, however much power she spent, it was definitely worth it. Finally got to see some of what she can do, seems lightning based, but I don’t think she’ll be fighting again for a while though. The commander should never fight unless absolutely necessary anyway, and even then they should have a huge bodyguard unit with them.

Also another thing that seemed to just appear was that huge castle thing in the Divine Gate. Wasn’t it all just a huge path in the divine gate? Where did that castle come from? And if they can just fly through the Divine Gate why do they need to make it into a path, it seems like a one way street anyway, surely you can’t get lost… Although that place does seem pretty big, I guess they’d need a path to get to the right door.

Bit of relationship development this episode, saw it coming, but went a bit too quick for my taste. It was rather nice to see Margery without tied up hair for once. Nice distraction from the war and all, not that we needed it… but was nice nonetheless and the Flame haze can look forward to a powerful reinforcement now.

And now I’m quite looking forward to the next episode. Mainly may be because Sabrac’s back to fight, I loved his first fight with Shana. And also Margery’s taking to the battle as well.
