Tsukishima makes his move

——————————————————————————————

As Sado and ichigo rush to Orihime’s house, she battles Tsukishima but is brutally cut through. They soon arrive at the scene but Orihime doesn’t appear to be hurt at all, she felt the blade cutting through her, but there’s no wound. She tells them that she just met a friend and then had a stomach-ache, nothing serious. But then she suddenly wonders why she thought that Tsukishima was her friend.

Sado knows that Orihime said those things to keep Ichigo safe, so he plays along and reminds himself that he’ll contact her later.

Ichigo does catch on, so he goes to Xcution to ask about what’s going on. They say it’s probably Tsukishima who is also a fullbringer and used to be their leader. He was the one who found the way to transfer their powers to a substitute soul reaper. But when a group of them succeeded, he suddenly turned on them and killed the soul reaper and the fullbringers who gave him their powers. And then he vanished.

Kugo shows Ichigo a substitute soul reaper badge, it was apparently the substitute soul reaper’s badge. He knows that Tsukishima doesn’t want them to make contact with Ichigo, which is why he attacked Ishida and met with Orihime. So, they want to speed things along with Ichigo, and will contact him when things are ready.

Later Ichigo goes to his boss Ikumi to ask for some time off as he has problems, so she tells him that he can rely on her if he needs.

On the way home Ichigo sees his dad and hides. Urahara comes along, but it seems they sensed Ichigo so they move elsewhere.

Orihime tells Sado what happened and about when she suddenly thought of Tsukishima as her friend, as though she suddenly remembered who he was from the distant past.

At Tsukishima’s ‘lair’ it seems he has done something to her, and no more contact is needed with her.

Thoughts:

So Tsukishima was their last leader. What I don’t understand is why he would waste so much time gathering everyone together just to kill them. There’s no need for such massacre, what could he get from killing them? They were already free from their powers so the excuse of freeing them from their powers by killing them doesn’t work. Just seems very random and odd, either Kugo’s not telling us something or Tsukishima just likes killing, but the latter doesn’t make sense either as he would have killed Orihime who he did cut through but didn’t even wound let alone kill. So he doesn’t seem like a homicidal maniac at least, which would mean Kugo’s hiding something about Tsukishima. Probably Tsukishima’s ability, as that may explain everything. From what I can see it ties in with the fact that Orihime somehow thought for a moment Tsukishima was her friend from long long ago. Sounds like memory altering perhaps?

With all that going on I’m assuming next episode we’ll see some development for Ichigo’s fullbring. Meanwhile Tsukishima’s probably going to attack Sado whilst Ichigo’s training. Or attack Ichigo when he’s alone, it would be good to attack before he perfects his fullbring.

Well, whilst the story’s a bit slow at the moment the tension is building up nicely. Especially with Tsukishima appearing and there’s that thing with Isshin and Urahara, wonder what’s going on there. Isshin wouldn’t do anything to harm Ichigo surely, and Urahara has never seemed like a bad guy, so what are they up to? Unless of course Kubo’s throwing in another plot twist, but for someone already pretty much established like Urahara, it’s probably unlikely. But that would make things very interesting.
