Rail Wars! – Episode 2

Episode 2: Just let me for a little

Synopsis:

Bon Voyage!

The group is assigned to K4 Peacekeeper Squad and introduced to their boss Nana Iida. Hitomi Gonou and A PSF squad is sent out to a bomb threat in Yokohama station, but the group is assigned to help at Tokyo station, which annoys Aoi.Nana takes Haruka and Aoi to lunch at a posh restaurant, which Aoi eats a dessert prepped by using liquid Nitrogen. Meanwhile, a bomb goes off whilst Naoto and Shou are working.

What someone’s trap down a well? How does that help us!!!

The main bomb turns out to be at Tokyo Station and the perpetrator demands ¥100M by 3PM; making it less than a hour. Naoto suggests that they search for the bomb themselves. Searching the lockers proves fruitless, but the lost and found dog is barking like mad, Shou then has a brainwave.

Hate to tell you this but I think the dog just pooped

Turns out the bomb is inside the carrier for the dog. Aoi begins to try and disarm it, whilst Haruka and Shou evacuate the station. Aoi cuts several wires to with no luck, she cuts the wrong one and the timer speeds up. She gets Naoto to hold the wiring in place while she leaves asking Naoto to trust her.

Aoi returns and sprays liquid nitrogen onto the bomb, stopping the timer at 5 seconds. Meanwhile, the perpetrator arrives for the money exchange but is swiftly arrested by the PSF squad. Aoi completely defuses the bomb before passing out on Naoto. The next day, Naoto is made deputy squad leader by Nana.

Analysis:

At last, Shou was useful in working out where the bomb was. Now the whole team is useful, apart from Naoto picking up the bomb without checking for traps. Naoto is too quick to jump into a situation and thinks before looking at the whole picture. It was kind of obvious that the bomb would have been at Tokyo and misleading the PSF squad to Yokohama. If you take the skilled squad out of the picture, then the plan would succeed, but obviously the bomber didn’t plan on Aoi.

However, there was something that was bugging me. Where did the dog carrier come from, I assume that the dog was in the carrier the whole time and that the bomber planned that it would be placed in Lost & Found. So I wonder what would happen to the dog now, that obviously the owner was probably the bomber, considering the facts that the owner calls Lost & Found to find out if the dog is there and then suddenly the bomb starts ticking; evident by the dog barking. It would nice if the dog was adopted by the K4 group or the rail company; maybe joins the K9 Peacekeeper Squad (Lol!).

So Naoto wants to be a train driver, I can tell you it is a stressful job to do. In TS 2014, I had a scenario to drive the last train at night stopping at 5 stations with in the allotted time. I think the scenario is bugged, because at no warning it gives me, the train changes tracks and then topples over and derails. No sign to say slow down and I fail. I did complete the journey once, but was 55 seconds late and I had exceeded comfort levels… for 0.0987 seconds! Now that is totally OCD. Another one is the football game service, in which some numpty pulls the emergency cord and stops the train and then you have to wait until the police deal with the idiot and gives the all clear. So I just play it for fun without the stressful time constrained scenarios.
