Fantasia of the Stars

Key Events

Everyone from STARISH go out to a resort to have a little relaxation in the mountains.

After remembering everyone’s smiles and wanting to see them again, Cecil decides to become an idol so he can make everyone happy, not just Haruka.

With the ‘help’ from the goddesses the Muses, Cecil writes out lyrics for the song Haruka gave him.

Cecil starts to sing on a bridge and the others join him creating a beautiful harmony. Haruka then realises why her latest song isn’t great, it was missing Cecil’s voice.

With everyone else’s support, Cecil becomes a member of STARISH.

However, Cecil receives a letter from the King beckoning him back to Agnapolis so that the crown can be handed to him.

Thoughts:

Big choice for Cecil there, what will he do? Considering this is going to end happy, he’s probably going to stay. Or at least stay long enough to have a debut with the rest of STARISH. His land can surely find another candidate for King, either that or wait a little longer. If they can wait long enough for his curse to time out, another year or two won’t hurt. So next episode will probably be about keeping him here, I feel Camus may make more of an appearance to do some convincing seeing as he was the last person to see him at the end of this episode, I think that’s a sign.

Glad to see Quartet Night back, although not so glad to see that they’re not doing anything. First time since they’re back ‘in force’ and they’re pretty much shunned to the supporting cast. But they are with them at this resort at least, so perhaps we’ll see something more next episode. Certainly hope so, I never like it when characters are introduced so extravagantly and then just pushed aside. Especially nice looking ones too.

Weird how they’re giving Cecil the focus now when I thought they’d give him the focus last. I’m pretty sure they haven’t done an episode on all the characters. I believe Ichinose still lacks a character episode and I thought that it’d revolve around his former professional career somehow. He’s certainly not a character who wouldn’t have problems that Haruka can help with. So I was very surprised that they rushed to Cecil and decided to continue with his story first.

So yeah, a Cecil focused episode and an interesting development at the end. I can’t see Cecil leaving just like that, he’s only just ‘officially’ joined the group too. He needs to have that debut that is the ED theme before leaving at the very least surely. Another option is to leave for a bit, but then return as the King, which would make it more interesting. But I suppose it can’t always be smooth sailing, I’m definitely happy with some trouble, otherwise the series would’ve been a bit boring on the ‘everything’s going right so there’s nothing interesting happening’ point of view. Hopefully more to talk about next episode. For now though, a big welcome to STARISH for Cecil and hopefully not a goodbye next episode.
