Episode 10: Minette’s Choice

This is the big one. Following from the last episode, Aberdeen has broken into the Oasis Clan Headquarters and has taken Miriam. Miriam wakes up and tells her brother that she doesn’t want to take Minette’s core as she is her friend. Aberdeen, Avril and Miriam leave together through the window (What’s wrong with a good old fashion DOOR!!). The next day, the clan plan on what they are going to do to protect Minette again from attack. The Tortilla Company then show up from nowhere and volunteer themselves to continue the investigation on the unusual Eru’s abnormality.

Everyone continues their daily activities, whilst indirectly distracting Minette, by playing with her, especially Agnes. After playing in the water, they both get a bath together. Whilst Agnes washes Minette’s hair, Agnes thinks about the situation and the trouble they are in, she then hugs Minette. The unusual Eru increases and continues to affect Miriam more so.

High School of the Dead – Episode 10

Wooh, Episode 10.. I remember on episode 1 I thought.. ‘I might blog this series, it’s 12 episodes, that should last a while’.. and it really hasn’t.

Anyway! Okay I have said this a lot in my previous HOTD blogs but this has topped it all the way baby.. BEST-OPENING SCENE-EVER. Completely took me by surprise.. but a good surprise! To be honest if I had to be pinned down to have some weird, gooey, home-made substance rubbed on my body, it would have to be by Shizuka. Turns out shooting a powerful gun while it is wrapped round a womans’ bosom can in fact give them slight pain, you just wouldn’t have thought it?..

As Takashi explains, they finally get to have some ‘normal’ time inside this big well guarded house. It seems that glimpse of hope has arrived. If there was a chance to survive this and enjoy life at the same time this is that exact opportunity, things are looking good.

Takashi and Saeko bump into each other in the hallway, obviously no awkwardness here after their time together. Alice runs over..may I add doesn’t she look older randomly? Anyway she runs over wondering why they are laughing, Takashi says it is good to see her happy.. Yeah in that flash back was it only me thinking he wasn’t going back to that flash back because of seeing that girl happy? Come on.

Saya is walking around the place not being the most cheerful person, at the same time keeping the thought in peoples’ heads they can’t stay there. Then her mother explains to Takashi about the SDF being sent out to the power plants. Another ‘adult’ makes a comment, but to Hirano this time about him being a kid. They all seem very patronising.. why though?

Eventually Takashi has been told by Sayas’ mother to try and win the argument that she cannot. They gather in Reis’ room and start talking.. it doesn’t go amazingly, Saya goes off like a wild bull on a rant. She will not stop saying how bad SHE has it, how bad people have been to HER.. this doesn’t go down well with Takashi and he snaps. Lifting her up by her shirt he scares everyone in the room including Saya incredibly. Rightfully so. It does the job well and she finally gets it, no one stopped him as they knew it had to be done too, to keep order.

As we see more and more of Sayas’ place and her mother, we find that her family are a lot more powerful than anyone though, even Takashi. They are a well respected family that gets things done. A lot of important vehicles escorting a mainly important vehicle drive into the estate with the head of the Takagi family, a man so powerful that when he wants something done.. oh it IS done – Sayas’ dad. I got to see, I loved this guy. The way everyone listens to his booming voice that just screams power, his speeches that uses his own best friend and a beheading to get a point across majorly. This guy is one hell of a strong guy, if anyone can get everyone that has been saved that are on that estate, never mind a few people – it is this guy, a natural born leader (you can see where Saya gets her assertiveness from).
