Back to the original starting scenery. Junichi is stood up and walks home alone. As he spaces out, a girl comes running and they bump into each other. Seeing her happy face he wishes he could be happy too, and carries on his way home.

Present day. As Junichi and Umehara head home from school, Junichi suddenly needs to go to the toilet. They rush to a park nearby and then see the girl from two years ago. After a short, awkward meeting, the girl runs off.

Next day Junichi meets the girl yet again at the canteen when Junichi was contemplating what to eat. Then later as Junichi hears a cat’s voice and chases after it as well. Her name is Nanasaki Ai and it turns out that she’s in the same class as Miya. A short conversation later and the bells ring so they both hurry off to class.

At home, Miya asks if Junichi did anything to Ai because she asked her what kind of guy Junichi is. After that Miya asks him to win a trip to Hawaii at a raffle and then leaves his room.

Following day, Junichi meets Ai and she tells him that he’s got ‘Win trip to Hawaii’ written in red on his forehead. After he’s washed it off Ai asks him if he’s free later. Turns out she just wants a pair of strong arms to help carry her grocery.

They win a five hundred yen voucher at the raffle and buys two sweet snacks which they eat by a beach. A pleasant chat and a short walk later, the episode ends.

So they’re back to the normal start then with Junichi being stood up and him walking home then fatefully meets ‘the’ girl. I prefer it this way, I wasn’t really fond of that narrator last arc, hopefully he won’t appear again… hehe…

Anyway, this arc is Ai Nanasaki. From what I gathered from the few glimpses of her in other people’s arcs is that she’s a very serious girl who rarely shows emotion. But then I was rather surprised during the prologue of this arc where she turns out to be such an energetic girl.

A speculation on the storyline then came into my head, a typical one so a few of you who’re watching may also be thinking of it too. It being something happened during those two years to make her into the serious and none expressing girl she is now, and Junichi will find out what the incident was and help her get over it. Pretty cliché and typical, but I think it’ll be something like that. And if it’s done well I wouldn’t mind the cliché at all.

Apart from the serious and none expressive characteristics of Ai, she’s quite a tease as well, as we saw. But she’s rather normal so far. Wonder what’ll make this girl weird then. Somehow I don’t really want to know…

But anyway, alright episode. Not much need for character introductions anymore as we all know everyone. So it got straight into the storyline and I already saw a relationship developing between Junichi and Ai, that’s good, leaves space for more back-story if they establish a relationship quickly.

And I have internet now, so no more late blogs or anything, unless work gets too much for me.
