It seems Yukimura’s being ignored rather often, even by his own sister Ruri. Her excuse is that she’s playing ‘princess’ and Yukimura didn’t look like a ‘prince’ enough to be her brother. Misaki and Usui then appear and Ruri instantly sees Usui as a charming prince and wants to marry him…

Next day, Yukimura asks Usui to go on a date with Ruri… because she complimented on Yukimura being friends with Usui and that’s the first time she’s complimented him for anything. So after some begging and brotherliness by Yukimura, Usui is forced into it by Misaki…

On date day, Misaki, Yukimura and Kanou are hiding in the bushes watching Ruri. Usui then appears in a rather nice prince outfit who we find out is made by Aoi as he pops out of nowhere.

It becomes quite clear that Usui has no interest in the date and just wants to impress Misaki. But even still Usui does well in taking care of Ruri and even Yukimura can see that that’s how a big brother should be, not someone like him who’ll obviously be ignored.

As Usui and Ruri head into town it becomes more apparent that Usui’s the perfect brother with spectator comments saying so. So Misaki changes the plan from perfect date with Usui to making Yukimura the perfect brother for Ruri. First plan, make Kanou a bad guy so Usui chickens out and Yukimura saves the day. Misaki seems convinced that Usui will notice it’s Kanou and back out. But the plan fails before it starts as Kanou runs off…

Anyway, Aoi comes up with a plan and dresses Misaki up very nicely. Though before they get their plan underway many familiar faces make rather inconvenient cameos. After that, a mess of things happen and I have no idea what the original plan was but Misaki just charges in and says how could Usui cheat on her. Oh, so this is the ‘Prince is a playboy’ plan. Erm… a string of random events later it all seem to work out and Yukimura is finally acting like a big brother. And even Ruri can see that she’s not Usui’s princess.

The next part of the episode seems to be about Aoi filming a PV. Cut long story short Yukimura, Kanou and the idiot trio help her film. But then a purse snatcher that Misaki is chasing, knocks the memory card out of Aoi’s hand, dropping down, as they were on an elevated part of the place, into Usui’s open hand quite conveniently as he is sleeping on a bench.

Quite a hilarious episode. I found it really entertaining which is rather odd as I don’t like none story related episodes that much.

Yukimura sure has is rough with that harsh sister of his. Maybe she doesn’t realise but she’s quite the devilish little girl, thought maybe it’s only to Yukimura that she acts like Akai Ringo. Poor Yukimura he never seems to catch a break that guy. But he is rather adorable this way… he he… gotta love that guy…

I get the feeling that their plan of making Usui chicken out from a gangster Kanou was always going to fail. Firstly the plan was way too typical and cliché, luckily it’s only a young girl so she couldn’t see though it. Secondly, this is Kanou and yeah, he ran for it as expected. And thirdly I have a feeling that Usui’s pride wouldn’t have let himself chicken out even if it’s pretending, though then again, if it was Misaki who asked he may change his mind. The playboy plan might’ve succeeded if Ruri wasn’t being so evil, oh well, it all worked out.

Another minor character focused episode. As I said, it was quite hilarious, even if it seems like a filler episode, which I’m pretty sure it is, it was fun. Gotta love the random character cameos especially the human pyramid. More character development for minor characters are always needed once in a while. What isn’t needed is something like episode nine, thought it was funny. To be honest I wasn’t expecting a filler like this for a while, or rather I wasn’t expecting anymore fillers at all, but it’s a nice break from the storyline so why not? Maybe this is a sign that the story finale arc’s about to begin or something? I’d like to hope so.
