Continuing on with the school festival. Mio wakes up from her long sleep and find her hand’s been written all over and screams.

So anyway, it’s time and everyone, with their new HTT t-shirts get on stage. As they look at their audience they notice that everyone’s wearing HTT t-shirts. This is the doing of the president of the Mio fan club and Sawa-chan. After some thank-yous they finally play a new song ‘Gohan wa Okazu’. Then more introductions and talk and another new song, U & I.

And we finish up with a teary eyed HTT.

I’ve had a really bad day today at work and after, so pardon me if I sound harsh or overly criticising. Through most of the episode I was screaming ‘come on, more song less talk’ this seemed like an episode just dedicated to those 2 new songs which I actually didn’t like that much. Although I blame that on my bad mood, I’ll listen again tomorrow and hopefully after a good night’s sleep they’ll sound better. So for the most part they just decided to drag it out with needless talk which I actually skipped some, that’s how bored I was.

Anyway, because of my bad mood I was also slightly depressed. And that last part of the episode got to me a little. I can completely empathise with them. It was quite sad leaving highschool, but I have to say university is sooo much more fun.

Last thing, because I’m too tired and really want rest. From what I’ve learnt, Bice, who composed the two new songs heard today, passed away 3 weeks ago. So I’d like us all to have a moment of silence for her death.

Thank you. And now, I’m going to sleep.

Sousuke Aizen poked you. Poke him back?

Well, since we’ve had a week away from Bleach because of the Obon Festival, I’ll remind you what happened. Gin betrayed Aizen, used his bankai’s ability to destroy him from the inside, and took the Hougyoku. But then Aizen ‘God-Revived’ again with butterfly wings and slashed Gin. Now that we’re back up to date, let’s continue. Jump reminds us that Bleach has been going for 10 years. Great. No closer to finishing though, are we Kubo? No, because Aizen is God. Anyway, Matsumoto wakes up, realising that Gin performed a kidou spell on her (Hakufuku, to be precise) and realises what he is trying to do somehow. We then cut back to Gin, no pun intended, who is most likely hurting with that giant cut in his chest, given to him by the Butterfly King. Or Aizen, whatever you want to call him. The Hougyoku magically goes back into the centre of Aizen’s chest. Then there’s a flashback, where Aizen explains how before Urahara, he attempted to create the Hougyoku, using hundreds upon hundreds of shinigami and Rukongai citizens with shinigami talents to do so, but it failed, as it wasn’t satisfied. He then says that Urahara’s also isn’t complete. Meaning, if he were to present his Hougyoku with Urahara’s…

It then trails off, as Aizen rips Gin’s arm off. As in completely off. I assume that’ll be edited out of the anime… Aizen then proceeds to use his zanpakuto to stab Gin in the chest. Which, if Aizen now has hollow powers, isn’t really necessary. He then says to Gin that fear is necessary for evolution, and thanks him for his assistance that brought him to a level higher than a shinigami or a hollow. Back with Ichigo’s friends, they see a building collapse, and Aizen walks through the rubble to an injured Gin. Keigo asks what is happening, and then turns to see Tatsuki and Kanonji down. Then Gin has a flashback as Aizen approaches, and remembers how he became a shinigami to change the world, so that things can end without Rangiku having to cry. Suddenly, Matsumoto herself rushes down, screaming his name. In his head, Gin says that he has failed Rangiku, as he could not get back what was taken from her, and that he is glad that he said sorry. I assume he then dies, as Rangiku’s eyes paint quite a picture. As Aizen approaches her, and Keigo looks on, she starts to cry. Failed there Gin. Then suddenly, someone appears. Hey, look who it is. If it isn’t Ichigo Kurosaki. Now sporting a new ‘metal’ look. And holding his unconscious father.

Well, this was a nice chapter. But that may be because we haven’t read Bleach for a while. Gin had a nice flashback, which does explain everything he’s done up to now, and that he really wasn’t such a bastard after all. Too bad he’s probably dead now. Rangiku’s still pretty useless. Just plot development in this chapter, to be honest. Keigo and the group were also pretty useless to this chapter. I think we can all agree that Aizen is now a God, and subsequently, Kubo has dug himself into a giant hole as to how he’s going to kill Aizen off. Or is he? Interesting… Still, Ichigo’s back. With longer hair. And a longer bankai chain. And… that’s it. Where’s the cool uber form? I expected a cool uber form. And what happened to Ichigo v Hollow Ichigo/Tensa Zangetsu. I suppose we’ll see that shortly, as an explanation to his newfound power. And what is this ‘ultimate Getsuga Tenshou’? Answer our questions in your own time, Kubo.
